SALES CONSULTANT

We are a service oriented organization that prides itself on establishing life-long relationships with our customers. We consider our employees to be one of its most valuable resources. A New Car Sales Consultant manages the sales of the latest vehicle
models. This involves staying ahead of rapid technological shifts—specifically in Electric Vehicle (EV) infrastructure, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and "Software- defined Vehicle" features.the end-to-end purchase experience for pre-owned vehicles.

Responsibilities Include:
• Product Expert Demonstrations: Explain complex new tech, such as Level 3 autonomous driving features, over-the-air (OTA) software updates, and V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) capabilities.
• Highlighting safety tech and "smart" cabin features that aren't visible in online photos.
• Presenting leasing, financing, and subscription-based ownership models.
• Educating buyers on home charging installation, public charging networks, and federal/ state tax incentives.
• Conducting a follow-up meeting a week after purchase to help the customer master the
car's infotainment and software settings.

Qualifications:
• Brand Certification: Deep, ongoing training on manufacturer's lineup (e.g.,Honda, Acura, GMC/Buick).
• Identifying the buyer's true needs and facilitate the appropriate conversations.

FULL TIME SERVICE ADVISOR

Lindsay Automotive is one of the oldest Honda dealers in Central Ohio, dating back to 1973.
We are a service oriented organization that prides itself on establishing life-long relationships with our customers. We consider our employees to be one of its most valuable resources. A Full-time Service Advisor you are the primary point of contact
between the customer and the service technicians. Your goal is to provide exceptional customer service while maximizing the department’s efficiency and sales through maintenance recommendations.

Responsibilities Include:
• Proactively greet customers in the service lane; perform a "walk-around" of the vehicle to note mileage, damage, and immediate maintenance needs (like tire tread or wiper wear).
• Listen to customer concerns and ask clarifying questions to help technicians accurately diagnose mechanical issues.
• Explain complex technical repairs and maintenance schedules in plain language that customers can understand and trust.
• Create accurate cost estimates for parts and labor. Use the vehicle’s service history to recommend factory-scheduled maintenance.
• Act as the bridge between the shop foreman, parts department, and the customer to provide real-time updates on vehicle status.
• Manage Repair Orders (ROs) from open to close, ensuring all documentation meets manufacturer warranty standards.
• Verify warranty or service contract coverage before work begins to ensure accurate billing.
• Review completed work orders for accuracy before the customer arrives to ensure all requested repairs were addressed.

Qualifications:
• 1–2 years in automotive service or high-volume retail sales/customer service preferred.
• Proficiency with Dealer Management Systems (DMS) like CDK, or Dealertrack.
• High emotional intelligence; ability to handle overwhelmed customers and busy technicians with professional composure.
• Ability to calculate repair totals, tax, and discounts quickly and accurately.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (for moving vehicles in
the service lane).

EXPRESS LUBE TECHNICIAN -
ENTRY LEVEL

We are a service oriented organization that prides itself on establishing life-long relationships with our customers. We consider the employees to one of its most valuable resources. An Express Technician is primarily focused on performing high-volume, routine
maintenance and light repairs quickly and efficiently. This position is crucial for the dealership's service department as it handles the most common, time-sensitive tasks, ensuring customer convenience and maximizing shop throughput.

Responsibilities Include:
• Oil & Filter Changes: Drain old oil, replace filters, and refill with the correct grade and volume of oil.
• Fluid Services: Check and top off all essential fluids, including coolant, brake fluid, power steering, and windshield washer fluid.
• Tire Care: Perform tire rotations, check air pressure, and identify uneven wear patterns that suggest alignment issues.
• Battery Testing: Test battery health and clean terminals to prevent corrosion.
• Visual Checks: Inspect belts, hoses, cabin air filters, and wiper blades.
• Safety Audits: Check exterior lighting (headlights, brake lights, signals) and brake pad thickness.
• Document all findings clearly in the digital inspection report so the Service Advisor can
communicate needs to the customer.
• Maintain a clean and organized bay to prevent accidents and improve efficiency.
• Properly use and maintain dealership-provided equipment (lifts, oil dispensers, pneumatic tools).
• Follow all hazardous waste disposal protocols (used oil, filters, and chemicals).

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational training or currently being enrolled in an automotive program is a major plus.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Attention to Detail is critical; precision is non-negotiable.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are mandatory.

MASTER TECHNICIAN-
5+YRS EXPERIENCE

Lindsay Automotive is one of the oldest Honda dealers in Central Ohio, dating back to 1973.

A Master Technician is responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex vehicle malfunctions that exceed the skill level of junior or mid-level technicians.
You serve as a technical mentor for the shop and ensure that all repairs meet both dealership and manufacturer standards.

Responsibilities Include:
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools (oscilloscopes, high-level scan tools, and multimeters) to identify "intermittent" or "ghost" issues in electrical systems, ECUs, and powertrain modules.
• Lead repairs on complex systems including transmissions, Advanced Driver Assistance
Systems (ADAS) calibration, and high-voltage EV battery management.
• Conduct high-level road tests to verify repair integrity and ensure that safety systems are
functioning within factory specifications.
• Act as a lead resource, assisting junior technicians with difficult diagnoses to increase overall shop throughput.
• Maintain all required manufacturer certifications and share new technical bulletin (TSB) updates with the team.
• Perform random quality control checks on work completed by the express and main shop teams.
• Provide exhaustive notes on work orders to support warranty claims, ensuring the
dealership is reimbursed by the manufacturer for complex repairs.
• Work with Service Advisors to provide highly accurate labor and parts estimates for major engine or transmission overhauls.

Qualifications:
• Current ASE Master Technician Status (A1–A8 certifications). Additional L1 (Advanced Engine Performance) or L3 (Hybrid/EV) certifications are a plus.
• Minimum of 5–8 years of automotive repair experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or master-level capacity.
• Proficiency in CAN bus diagnostics, thermal management systems for EVs, and software reflashing/programming.
• Must possess a comprehensive, professional-grade toolset, including advanced electronic diagnostic equipment.

SERVICE TECHNICIAN-
2-5 YEARS EXPERIENCE

Lindsay Automotive is one of the oldest Honda dealers in Central Ohio, dating back to 1973.

A Service Technician performs intermediate to advanced automotive repairs and diagnostic work. you will be tasked with identifying and fixing mechanical and electrical failures. Your performance is measured by your productivity and your ability to complete repairs without any unsatisfactory work.

Responsibilities Include:
• Perform work on brakes, suspension, steering, and HVAC systems.
• Conduct mid-level engine repairs (water pumps, timing belts/chains) and light
transmission work.
• Use diagnostic scan tools to pull Trouble Codes (DTCs) and follow flowcharts to pinpoint sensor or wiring failures.
• Assist in basic re-calibrations for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (like lane-keep sensors) following windshield or suspension service.
• Perform thorough Multi-Point Inspections (MPIs) on every vehicle and provide clear, digital reports to Service Advisors to help "sell" needed repairs.
• Road-test vehicles before and after repairs to ensure the customer’s concern has been resolved.
• Occasionally oversee the work of Express Lube Technicians and help them transition into main-shop roles.

Qualifications:
• 2–5 years of professional automotive experience.
• At least 3–4 ASE Certifications (e.g., A4 Suspension, A5 Brakes, A6 Electrical, A7 HVAC).
• Ability to use dealership software (DMS) and manufacturer technical portals for TSBs
(Technical Service Bulletins).
